About Me

Welcome to my portfolio website! I'm Dakota Davis, a dedicated web/software developer with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for automating mundane processes. With a love for designing modern and captivating websites, I bring a touch of creativity to every project I undertake.

My journey in the realm of coding began with a natural curiosity that soon developed into a deep-rooted fascination. Armed with my nerdy personality and an unyielding work ethic, I dive headfirst into challenges, continuously seeking innovative solutions that streamline operations and maximize efficiency.

As a professional, I believe in infusing my work with a balance of professionalism and fun. Every line of code is crafted with precision and elegance, and every project is an opportunity to push the boundaries of what is possible. I thrive on the excitement of finding elegant solutions to complex problems, transforming abstract ideas into functional and user-friendly applications.

Let's turn your dreams into reality! Get in touch with me today, and let's explore the boundless possibilities of the digital world.

Drive To Youtube

I created this app for a client who wanted to be able to quickly upload a series of videos to youtube. Before making this app, the client had to have someone download every video from their company google drive to their laptop, and then manually upload each one. This app turned a long, tedious process into a few quick clicks. The app uses the Google Drive API to get a list of all the videos in a folder, and then uses the Youtube API to upload them to a specified youtube channel. Due to it being owned by the client I can't offer a demo or to view the code.

Tech E-Commerce Site

A full stack e-commerce site built with React, Redux, Node, Express, and MongoDB. The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Stripe for payment processing. The site is fully responsive and uses a mobile first design approach. I designed and developed this site as a student project to experiment with styled components, redux, and to learn more about the MERN stack. Overall, this project taught me a lot about state management and how to build a full stack application.
